1) Summer Villa Senior Home-Community Outreach Concert –

-Holiday Music is encouraged. All ages and instruments are welcome to perform.
We need volunteers to help keep the young performers keep organized during
the main show. One volunteer to stay in back room with kids and play games with
them to keep them busy. One volunteer to get kids lined up and ready
to perform. One volunteer to announce/usher as needed.
-Performers are also needed at 3:30 to perform at The Memory Center across the parking lot. This would be a shorter show, the performance area is small. All are welcome but string players are encouraged to perform (we are not sure of quality or tuning of piano at the memory center).
2) Community Outreach Mall Concert -

Open to all MTAC students level 3 or higher. Popular music is appropriate and encouraged at the mall concerts! Ensembles and collaborations are also welcome. Please have proper recital attire and plan to stay for the entire program. Music does not need to be memorized. MSSL students may volunteer as ushers, set up equipment or serve as program directors (a good opportunity to wear the new mssl t shirts!)
Note: If we have enough interested students, we can request a second mall performance on sunday december 18th at 2pm in the afternoon. If you have students interested in this time slot please let me know ASAP so I can reserve the schedule. This extra performance is subject to cancellation if not enough students sign up.
Please note due to holiday schedule the next MSSL meeting will be in January-date to be determined. In the works-MTAC spririt night at Chick Filet-details coming soon!

The MTAC Membership Meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled.
Our January Membership Meeting is scheduled for Friday, January 6th, 2012.

The MTAC SCV Branch NEW YAMAHA C7 Concert Grand Piano was delivered on October 1, 2011 to the North Park Community Church. Alicia Jones was there to receive the piano and document the move. The movers were able to take the piano upstairs to the Sanctuary via the elevator! Check out the photos here!
The Fall Branch Recital on November 13th at 6:00pm, will be the debut performance for the new piano. Students who participated in fundraising will have the first opportunity to perform. Please download, complete, and send in a “Branch Recital Entry Form” along with the entry fee to Alicia Jones: aliciajones32506@gmail.com
Again, the performance is open first to students that participated in fundraising. If performance time permits, other students may also be invited to perform. We hope you will attend the concert whether your students are performing or not as this will be a special evening for the MTAC SCV Branch.

MSSL will be having a meeting on October 22nd at Little School of Music to elect officers and begin planning for the 2011-2012 school year. Please encourage your students (grades 7-12) to consider joining MSSL this year.
